Oh to be a bee
Flying around tree trunks and leaves
Floating from various flower to flower
Pocketing their pollen like an enchanted seed bank babel tower
On my way to give the world some syrupy gold
Along the way I’ll drop off beauty by the road
Intentionally making meals tasty
Accidentally painting fields pretty
I’ll do this all in a day
And then dance before hitting my honeycomb hay
Wake up and do it all again
Along with my bumbling brethren
For this is the life of a bee
Oh to live so sweet and so free
